Brass expands better when the powder burns, that expansion makes a better seal to prevent hot gases from passing around the case back at the shooter that ='s consistent pressures and better velocities. Only issue I have had with steel cased was with my AR15 shooting Tula .223 I have the occasional jam but hell $5.17 a box for 223 wally world special.
