WebI ordered all the parts to build a 9mm upper for my SBR with CMMG’s radially delayed blowback system but a week later I get an email from CMMG saying that they don’t have the barrel and bolt carrier that I ordered and it was being placed on back order for 10+ weeks, annoying but whatever if I’m going to get a super smooth 9mm SBR. WebJan 12, 2024 · The CMMG RDB requires an upper with the cam pin slot like a standard 5.56 upper. If yours does not have that you would need a new upper in addition to the barrel, bcg, and mags Anderson lightweight sport upper. It doesn’t have dust cover or forward assist but otherwise works with centerfire calibers. It’s not specifically a 9mm upper. The system still uses a blowback design but no longer uses an unlocked breech. A radial delayed gun uses a series of lugs attached to the bolt head, much like a 5.56 caliber AR-15.
